Conwy (4.5 miles)

If you are staying with us, you must pay a visit to the medieval walled town of Conwy, which is only an 8 minute drive away. There is so much to see and do, from visiting the imposing castle, built by Edward I, walking Telford’s suspension bridge, to seeing the record breaking Smallest House in Great Britain. The streets are filled with interesting little gift shops, historical buildings and eateries. A real gem to visit.

Just a short 3 mile drive from our door, in Dolgarrog, you will find Adventure Parc Snowdonia where you can learn to surf on a world first inland surf lagoon, or head out on your own if you have the experience.

At Adrenaline Indoors you can brave indoor caves, extreme slides, ziplines, climbing walls and a ninja assault course.

Outdoor Adventures offers exhilarating activities, including zip line, climbing wall, pump track and more.

If you are after a more relaxing activity, The Wave Garden Spa offers luxurious treatments and spa packages.

Bodnant Gardens (3 miles)

This National Trust Grade I listed garden in Snowdonia’s foothills with historic plant collections and breath taking mountain views. Here you can enjoy Italianate terraces, formal flowerbeds, pools and parterres, informal shrub borders, riverside dells with waterfalls an towering conifers. each season brings new delights, but the Laburnum Arch brings visitors from all over the world when it flowers at the end of May/beginning of June.

Llandudno (8 miles)

Known as The Queen of the Welsh Resorts since the middle of the nineteenth century, Llandudno is the largest seaside resort town in Wales. the long promenade is overlooked by rows of Victorian buildings, and the town has two popular beaches - the North shore and West shore. Llandudno pier is a Grade II listed building and is the longest pier in Wales. Nearby Happy Valley has beautiful gardens and walks and boasts an artificial ski slope and toboggan run. Also from here, you can get a cable car ride to the top of the Great Orme and enjoy breathtaking scenery, and perhaps enjoy a ride on the Great Orme tramway back to the town.

Trefriw (6 miles)

Trefriw Woollen Mills produce traditional Welsh tapestry bedspreads, travel rugs and tweeds woven on site. The looms and turbines can be viewed through windows in the shop. Trefriw is a great starting point for many walks with the Fairy Falls Waterfall well worth a visit. from here, you can also travel to Llyn (lake) Crafnant and Llyn Geirionydd which again offers beautiful lakeside walks in breathtaking scenery.

Betws-y-Coed (12.5 miles)

Betws-y-Coed, the Gateway to Snowdonia, is a popular destination for tourists visiting the area, with spectacular terrain for hiking, biking and scrambling adventures, and also plenty of shops, cafe’s and restaurants if you want a more leisurely visit. Pont y Pair and Swallow Falls River Walk are very picturesque. Just outside Betws-y-Coed is Zip Word Fforest. There are six adventures to choose from - Fforest Coaster, Treetop Nets, Zip Safari 2, Sky Ride 2, Tree Hoppers and Plummet 2. Please note that pre-booking these activities is highly recommended.
